United States and Canada

The shipping procedures to the US is straight forward as there is no quarantine for your boerboel and no Import Permit required. It is advisable that your Boerboel arrive during the week during working hours, and NOT over the weekend as this in not allowed. This will make the customs clearance easier and a State Vet available for inspection on arrival.

The Boerboel Rabies vaccination should be up to date. Puppies between 10 and 12 weeks old can travel on their mother's Rabies certificate.After 12 weeks they must get their own Rabies vaccination, and then after 30days they could travel.

An adult Boerboel must be vaccinated against Rabies annually, the vaccination should not be older than 11 months and at least 30 days old before the Boerboel could enter the United States.

Your Boerboel will also need a Health Clearance Certificate, which is filled in by our family vet. Health Certificates are also stamped and checked by the State Vet. We will also microchip your Boerboel.

All Boerboels travel as Manifested Cargo and not as excess baggage. Once they arrive at their destination you will be required to do the customs clearance yourself (or if available, handling agents in The United States can offer this service). There is a possibility that customs clearance charges will be applicable.

EU Countries (Europe)

For a boerboel travelling to Europe it must undergo a RABIES NEUTRALISING ANTIBODY TITRE TEST.

When you buy a Boerboel puppy, your puppy must first be microchipped before they get their first Rabies Vaccination at 3 months of age. After 30 days the RABIES NEUTRALISING ANTIBODY TITRE TEST sample could be taken. 90days after the sample has been taken, the dog can travel, if the result of the test is positive. You will receive your puppy then at the age of 7 months, which is definately worth the wait.

If you buy an Adult boerboel, that is already been microchipped and vaccinated against Rabies, the waiting period is 90 days after the blood has sample has been taken.
